	James C. Holmes was born in 1960 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jim graduated from Washington High School in 1978 and attended Carleton College where he graduated with a B.A. in Geology. Jim graduated from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1987. Jim is a member of the Linn County Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section within the American Bar Association. Jim practices at Holmes & Holmes with his father, James T. Holmes.
